Nicholson & Co's journey reflects the challenges and successes of the businesses we proudly support. We've navigated growth, downsizing, economic shifts, a pandemic, and evolving business landscapes, adapting and reshaping our strategies just like you.
Here's Matt's Journey over the last 8 Years.

2015 -The Idea

In 2016, while working with a large restaurant marketing app, Matt launched Nicholson & Co to support local businesses with tailored business and marketing advice.

2016 - Taking the Leap

In the early days, Matt advised local restaurants, cafes, and bistros on how to build big customer bases, while also contracting to large marketing firms to help find better ways to add value to their clients.

2017 - NZ Expansion

Referrals were now our biggest source of new customers. We expanded to provide tailored advisory to the real estate and charity sectors locally, and even extended our reach to a few client projects overseas in the USA & UK.

2018 - Tackling Big Projects

Moving into a new office at Smales Farm, Auckland, we now had more than 300 clients in New Zealand. We partnered with global universities, bringing talented interns to New Zealand, and advised on the Annual Plunket Lottery Project & an App Project based out of the USA.

2019/20 - Hustling On

Despite challenges, we hustled to complete over 1,800 projects across New Zealand, helping our clients battle the pandemic. We also collaborated on a once in a life time charity project in Ireland - moving the whole office there for a 3 weeks.

Now - Remote & Growing

Today, Nicholson & Co operates remotely, blending local expertise with a global perspective to empower small businesses at home and abroad.
